Michael Damon, CPA
Managing Partner

Michael Damon is the founder and principal of Damon & Associates, Inc..  Michael specializes in client tax and accounting needs.  Tax, transaction, and entity planning are at the forefront of the services provided.  “Clients utilize us as a sounding board for not only accounting and tax but consultative business services including; personnel, benefits, financing, real estate, retirement, succession planning and more.”

Michael is a frequent speaker to business and trade groups.  Most recently, Michael was guest speaker for the South Shore and Plymouth County Board of Realtors and the American Tamil Medical Association.  In addition, Michael is a guest host on Talk Real Estate with Sharon McNamara on Saturday mornings on WATD 95.9 FM.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant registered in Massachusetts and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Michael was raised in Scituate, Massachusetts where he worked alongside his father, Albert Damon, at Scituate Supply hardware store.  After attending Northeastern University Michael started his career with a Wellesley, Massachusetts CPA firm; Miller & Spector, CPAs.  In 1986, Michael branched out on his own and started Michael J. Damon, CPA.  In 1998 Michael merged his practice forming Damon, Topham & Company, LLC.

Michael enjoys reading, spending time with family and coin collecting.  He has helped a number of clients sell their coin collections.  Michael resides in Pembroke with his wife Kelly and their three teen-age sons.

 

Mark Diodati, CPA, MSA
Partner

Mark Diodati is a partner at Damon & Associates, Inc..  Mark specializes in client financial statements, tax and accounting needs.  Mark has consulted with many small business owners to achieve their financial goals. “We help prepare clients for the future and provide guidance on how they can plan accordingly.”

Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and the MSCPA.  He is a graduate of Thayer Academy High School in Braintree and holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Northeastern University as well as Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Northeastern University in Boston.

Mark owned and operated a Domino’s Pizza franchise from 1994 to 2002 before attending Northeastern University.  Mark started his accounting career in 2005 with a Braintree, Massachusetts CPA firm.  Mark began working with Michael Damon in 2009 and started Damon & Associates, Inc. with him in 2013.

Mark enjoys playing RPGs as a hobby, spending time with his family and enjoys being an active part of his children’s activities.  Mark resides in Weymouth with his wife Bridget and their two children.

 

Kimberly A. O’Brien, EA
Enrolled Agent and Firm Administrator

Kim O’Brien is affectionately known as “The Boss”.  She administers all office operations, billing and daily functionality and also assists in preparing corporate and individual tax returns and bookkeeping for clients.  Kim is the firm’s go-to person; keeping ahead of a host of issues encountered in the operations of a successful and progressive public accounting firm.

Kim’s previous experience consists of a long term stay with a Newton CPA firm where she was an Administrative Assistant and Tax Professional.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Northeastern University.  Kim resides in Hanson and enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Jennifer N. Phinney
Administrative Assistant

Jennifer Phinney is responsible for assisting with day-to-day administrative duties.  Her responsibilities include but are not limited to managing calendars, planning and coordinating meetings and assisting with general client needs and inquiries.

Prior to joining Damon & Associates, Inc., Jennifer worked for Hokanson Insurance Agency as a COBRA Administrator.  In her role, Jennifer applied her knowledge of COBRA/HIPAA laws in order to process elections and open enrollments.

Jennifer lives in Pembroke with her husband Scott and two sons Zachary and Joshua. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family skiing and watching her sons play sports.
